No reservation, no recreation.gov. 3. Bring real layers. Temperatures drop fast after the sun goes; expect 40s°F or lower. 4. Stay 45+ minutes after sunset. The star field that emerges is half the show. 5. Drive down carefully — use low gear, don't ride your brakes.
